There are typically six meetings a year and meetings are held at the Grande Prairie Airport Boardroom. The meetings run from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and lunch is provided.
The Commission is looking for candidates with the following skill sets:
Experience in board governance in the private, public or voluntary/non-profit sector. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the distinction between the role of the Commission versus the role of management.
Business Management and Leadership
The successful candidate will have knowledge on sound management and operational business processes and practices.
The successful candidate will have knowledge about the local economic drivers and resources.
