At the Grande Prairie Airport, our top priority is the health and safety of our passenger, visitors and staff. With this is mind, we are launching the Safe Travels Program. This program will provide the confidence people need as they move through or visit the Grande Prairie Airport.
Those travelling via the Grande Prairie Airport will notice additional health and safety measures in place.
The most notable change is:
The requirement that all passengers and staff must wear masks while in the Terminal Building. There are exceptions for those who provide proof of a medical condition or for those under the age of two years old.
Other changes include:
Increasing the cleaning of all high touch areas
Installing more hand-sanitizer stations throughout the terminal building
Installing plexiglass at the check-in counters and boarding gates
Placing social distancing floor markers throughout the main floor of the terminal building and the restaurant
Rearranging seating in the terminal to better facilitate social distancing
Placing social distancing signage throughout the terminal building
Reducing the maximum occupancy of all washrooms and the holdroom kiosk
Allowing no more than six people at a table in our Viewpoint restaurant
All touch screens in the terminal building have been disabled.
For those passengers arriving at the Grande Prairie Airport, please ensure you are here at least 90 minutes before your flight departs. This will give you ample time to check-in for your fight and complete the airlines health checks.
Many of our airline and airport partners have been working diligently to ensure that people are protected from infection during this pandemic.
