Central Mountain Air Announces Service for Grande Prairie

Central Mountain Air (CMA) is excited to announce scheduled service between Grande Prairie and Edmonton starting on June 28, 2021, and continuing through until November 6, 2021. This service will help enable economic recovery and be provisioned by an 18 passenger Beechcraft 1900D aircraft. Service will start with 8 round trip flights per week, with two times daily service on Mondays and Wednesdays, and an emphasis on early flights to start the week, and late flights through the end of the week.

“We are excited to welcome CMA to our airport and appreciate their confidence in our regional market”, indicates Brian Grant, CEO of the Grande Prairie Airport. “We have been working hard to reconnect our region with Edmonton and we are fortunate to have a new air carrier join our market to provide additional options for air travel”.

CMA is excited to work with the YQU and YEG airport on this route and continue to expand offerings with time. This new route will not only provide those traveling from Grande Prairie with direct flights to Edmonton but will also provide convenient connections through CMA’s travel route to Prince George, High Level, and Fort St. John. In addition to this, connections are available through CMA’s interline partners which allows passengers seamless travel through hub airports, offering through baggage and boarding passes to their final destination.
