Brian Grant
CEO
Brian Grant has dedicated more than 40 years to the aviation industry, with the majority of his career devoted to the Grande Prairie Airport. Beginning his career in 1982 as a seasonal equipment operator with Transport Canada, Brian quickly advanced through a variety of roles across northern and western Canada, including assignments in Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, and regional postings throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. By 1984, his commitment and determination led him back to Grande Prairie, where he progressed to the role of Airport Manager.
In 1997, Brian successfully led the transition of the Grande Prairie Airport from federal to municipal control, and the following year oversaw its further transformation into an independent commission. Since 1998, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Grande Prairie Airport, where his leadership continues to guide the airport’s growth, operations, and role as a vital transportation hub in northwestern Alberta.
On a national level, Brian is a founding member and past Chair of Regional Community Airports of Canada (RCAC), an organization dedicated to advocating for the interests and long-term viability of regional and small airports. He remains an active board member and respected voice in regulatory and policy discussions shaping Canada’s aviation sector.
Brian’s lifelong commitment to aviation, his leadership in shaping regional airport governance, and his dedication to his community make him a recognized and trusted leader both locally and nationally.
Terri Tattrie
Director Finance & Human Resources
Terri Tattrie has built an accomplished career at the Grande Prairie Airport, where she has held progressive leadership positions since 1990. Her roles have included Airport Clerk, Finance and Administration Officer, Manager of Finance and Security, and Manager of Finance and Marketing, leading to her current position as Director of Finance & Human Resources.
With extensive experience in finance, planning, and operations, Terri is instrumental in aligning the airport’s financial objectives with its workforce strategies. Her leadership ensures strong fiscal management, effective organizational planning, and the integration of financial and human resource priorities that support the long term success and sustainability of the airport.
Todd Carter
Director Operations
Todd Carter has been a key member of the Grande Prairie Airport team since 2002. Beginning his career as an Airport Maintenance Technician, Todd quickly demonstrated the skills, adaptability, and leadership that led to his advancement into progressively senior roles, including Team Coordinator, Superintendent of Airport Maintenance, Manager of Operations & Maintenance, and Director of Safety & Security. He now serves as Director of Terminal Services.
With over two decades of experience at the Grande Prairie Airport, Todd brings extensive operational knowledge and a strong commitment to service excellence. His approachable leadership style, combined with his dedication to the airport’s long term growth, ensures the effective management of terminal operations and a consistently positive experience for travelers, partners, and staff.
William Stewart
Director Terminal Services
William Stewart, A.A.E., Director of Terminal Services, brings over 17 years of airport management experience with expertise in terminal operations, business development, regulatory compliance as well as food and beverage operations. An Accredited Airport Executive, he serves on the Boards of the Alberta Airports Management Association and the Government of Alberta’s Strategic Aviation Advisory Committee, and has worked with Transport Canada on the creation and amendment of Canadian Aviation Regulations.
