Grande Prairie Airport Joins National Movement to Combat Human Trafficking

The Grande Prairie Airport (GPA) is proud to announce its new partnership with #NotInMyCity, a national initiative committed to preventing and ending human trafficking in Canada.

By becoming an official ally, GPA joins a growing network of transportation and community partners working together to raise awareness, educate frontline workers, and help protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation.

“Airports can play a critical role in identifying and reporting signs of human trafficking,” said Brian Grant, CEO. “We are pleased to stand with #NotInMyCity and enhance our commitment to safety, vigilance, and community responsibility.”

Through this partnership, airport personnel will receive specialized training on how to recognize and respond to potential signs of trafficking. Informational materials and awareness campaigns will also be shared with the travelling public.

“Grande Prairie Airport’s commitment to public safety and community responsibility strengthens our collective efforts to prevent and disrupt human trafficking in Canada,” said Paul Brandt, Founder of #NotInMyCity. “By equipping frontline staff with the tools to recognize and respond to signs of exploitation, this partnership helps build a safer and more vigilant travel network.”
